I've known about this place ever since I was growing up in this city and it was posh back then,now taken over a few times since no doubt and now run by the present host who make you feel very welcome,it's excellent value for the price,the room was comfortable with all the extras you need and the breakfast superb,tasty and filling to send you on your way,what more do you want for the money..
The Shaftesbury was a quaint little hotel in a charming residential neighbourhood with ample street parking. It is just a short drive to the city centre. The rooms are clean with super comfortable beds. The staff are all fantastic and courteous The breakfast was excellent with cooked eggs, meats, fruit, yoghurt and juices. Had an excellent stay. Highly recommended.
A lovely old building kept spotless. A comfy bed and a great shower. Breakfasts are lovely. Easy on road parking, quiet area. Owners and staff very helpful and polite. Good value for money. I will definitely stay again.
We loved our stay here. Clean rooms, friendly staff and very quiet. We actually got a flat tire on our final morning and the owners came out and helped us get back on the road!
